Course Overview
Confined Space Rescue Technician is an intensive 48-hour training program that prepares participants to perform safe and effective rescues in confined and hazardous environments.
Through a combination of hands-on exercises and realistic scenarios, students gain the knowledge and confidence needed to assess, enter, and operate within confined spaces while ensuring team and victim safety.
This course is taught in accordance with ITRA learning aims and meets the requirements of NFPA 1006 Chapter 7 (Confined Space Rescue) at the Operations and Technician levels.

- Patient packaging, retrieval, and recovery techniques
- Use of tripods and other artificial high anchor points
- Lock-out/tag-out procedures for energy control
- Rope systems for confined space entry and rescue with line of sight
Training Method
Participants will engage in practical, scenario-based exercises that replicate real-world confined space emergencies. The focus is on teamwork, hazard control, and the use of advanced rescue systems to ensure safe and efficient operations in challenging environments.

ITRA Confined Space Rescue Level 3
Duration: 32 hours

Course Overview
Confined Space Rescue Specialist is an intensive 32-hour training program that prepares participants to perform safe and effective complex rescues in confined.
Through a combination of hands-on exercises and realistic scenarios, students gain the knowledge and confidence needed to assess, enter, and operate within confined spaces while ensuring team and victim safety.
This course is taught in accordance with ITRA learning aims and goes beyond the Operations and Technician levels.
Skills You’ll Learn
- Movement and position in restricted entries
- Supplied-air breathing systems
- Self-contained breathing apparatus
- Horizontal and vertical extractions while using breathing apparatus
- Internal rigging
- Multi-point anchors
- Rope systems for confined space entry and rescue beyond line of sight
